December Drive to Success Program

Visit for more info.

With the arrival of December and the Holiday Season, there is no better time to reflect on the previous 12 months as a Crooms Community. In the past 12 months, Crooms AoIT saw its fifth graduating class and our former classmates and teachers celebrated another year as a "A" school. With the “A” ranking, Crooms became the only SCPS high school to be rated an “A” this year, and tied the SCPS high school consecutive record of receiving an “A” four year years in a row. Dr. Collins also had much to celebrate this past year, as she was named the Principal of the Year for the State of Florida. Crooms AoIT also saw changes in the student body as it became a minority-majority school, cementing its legacy as one most diverse schools in Central Florida. The last 12 months have also caused us to pull together with the losses of Warren "CJ" Matter last December and Ms. Christy Reynolds last month.

The past 12 months have certainty proved to be eventful, but through it all the alumni community has shown a great enthusiasm in reconnecting with their alma mater. With this new expanded base of interest, we felt it would be appropriate to start off this school year's scholarship fundraising drive during the Holiday Season. During this "Season of Giving" we invite you to open up your hearts and join us as we kick off our December Drive to Success Program.

New School Year = New Bell Schedule and Growth At UCF

Classes started today across Florida and new year means new changes.

At Crooms, a new bell schedule has been adopted. The new bell schedule makes Tuesday and Wednesday the block days. You can check out the new bell schedule at:

Just south of Crooms, the University of Central Florida announced some interesting news as well on the first day of classes. UCF's enrollment is expected to surpass 52,000 this year, making it the largest university in the state. That means even more students will be at UCF than at the flagship University of Florida. UCF will also be joining The Ohio State University and Arizona State University as the three largest universities in the country. You can check out the full story here:
