The Crooms AoIT Alumni Association is pleased to announce the results of the recent Board of Directors election. On June 25th, the Alumni Association's members elected two new at-large directors at its Annual Meeting. Beginning in July, the following individuals will join John Amirrezvani ('06, President), Mallory Bose ('07), Frank Bracco ('06, Secretary/Treasurer), Brandon Eady ('05), Scott Johnson ('06), and James "Brock" Mangus ('07), and Nikko Ritter ('07) on the Board.
Gaelan Adams has been elected to fill the first of two at-large positions on the Crooms AoIT Alumni Association's Board of Directors. Mr. Adams graduated from Crooms Academy of Information Technology in 2007 and Seminole State College in 2009. He is currently the owner of WCL Technologies, a web development company, and also holds an internship position with Acquia, a web development company focused on social media websites. Previously, Mr. Adams was elected to an at-large position on the Board for the 2010-2011 fiscal year; his election at Saturday's meeting will allow him to continue his service on the Board.
Christopher Lopez has been elected to fill the second of two at-large positions on the Crooms AoIT Alumni Association's Board of Directors. Mr. Lopez graduated from Crooms Academy of Information Technology in 2007 and is also a graduate of Seminole State College. He is currently a manager at McDonald's and also owns Jadeci Solutions, an IT and mobile services company which also provides cellular services for Simple Mobile customers. Mr. Lopez will be filling the at-large position previously held by Matt Glener ('06).
The Board of Directors also elected its Chairman for the 2011-2012 fiscal year during the Annual Meeting. Starting July 1, John Amirrezvani will begin his second term as Chairman. Mr. Amirrezvani graduated from Crooms AoIT in 2006 and is studying information technology at the University of South Florida. He currently serves as the President of the Crooms AoIT Alumni Association and also holds an internship with Sypris Electrons, a company that specializes in encryption devices and Information security.
