Crooms Academy of Information Technology has earned "Distinguished" Status from the National Academy Foundation – NAF's highest level of achievement – based on NAF's annual assessment.
NAF's annual assessment measures an academy's strengths and challenges in implementing NAF's results-driven model. The assessment is designed to help all academies assess their progress and increase their alignment to NAF's standards, reflecting national standards developed by researchers and members from similar career/pathway organizations.
"Research shows that students in NAF academies achieve better results than those in the same school district who are not in NAF academies and that academies at the Distinguished and Model levels realize even greater student outcomes," explains Katherine Blasik, Assistant Vice President of Research and Evaluation for NAF.
The Distinguished and Model academies will be recognized at NAF Next, NAF's annual professional development conference, in Anaheim, CA this July.
