August is National Update your Crooms AoIT Alumni Profile Month

Hello fellow alumni,

August is National Update your Crooms AoIT Alumni Profile Month! Okay, that is a bit of a stretch, but we would still like you to take the time to update your Crooms AoIT Alumni Profile during August, since a new school year means new changes. This year we have a brand new user profile; so if you haven't seen it, you need to log-in to the Alumni website and check it out. Profiles are only available to registered users of the site, so you do not have to worry about your information being visible to search engines or anything like that.

Crooms AoIT Needs a Few Good...MENTORS!

Crooms AoIT is looking for some mentors for the 2010-2011 school year. Did you have a mentor? Wish you had someone older to help you out while in high school? Want to give back to a student making their way into the world? Now is your chance to get involved and make a difference in someone's life – and, perhaps, in yours as well!

Taking Nominations for Alumni Association Positions

Calling all Croomies, Calling all Croomies! As has been announced previously (see http://www.croomsalumni.com/node/272), the Crooms AoIT Alumni Association will be setting up an organizational structure to better manage our operations in the coming years. As such, we are looking for volunteers to fill the positions on both our Management Team and our Board of Directors. You do not need to reside in Central Florida for any of these positions, although it might be beneficial.

Crooms AoIT Scores Big in FCAT Science

Florida's FCAT scores were released this week and Crooms AoIT proved its students have what it takes to be the best. For the second year in a row, Crooms AoIT had the highest FCAT science mean score in the Seminole County school district. This was not the only accomplishment for these rising seniors when it comes to FCAT. The mean score of 328 also proved to be the highest science score for all Metro Orlando (Orange, Lake, Seminole, and Osceola counties) high schools. That's right, Crooms AoIT had the highest science score in Metro Orlando!
