Athletic Grant Program Renewed for 2018-2019 School Year

The Crooms AoIT Alumni Association is pleased to announce the renewal of the Athletic Grants Program for the 2018-2019 school year.

The renewed grant comes after Crooms AoIT Alumni Association Founders’ Society member and Class of 2006 graduate Julian Gordon expressed interest in providing financial support for program this year.

Since 2012, the Alumni Association's Grants program has provided athletic clubs, sports teams, and school departments with financial support. “Even in these improved economic times, school budgets remain constrained when it comes to extracurriculars,” honorary board member and regular contributor to the athletics grant program Frank C. Bracco (Class of 2006) says, “so we all grateful for Julian’s support in helping ensure the students of Crooms AoIT continue to have access to quality sports programs as both Julian and I did during our high school days.” Mr. Gordon was a part of the inaugural Crooms AoIT bowling team during his time at Crooms AoIT and can be still seen at bowling lanes around Central Florida.

The Association's grants committee will oversee the review and disbursement of the grant funds, and the application will be released later this month.

The Crooms AoIT Alumni Association Tech Innovation Scholarship worth $750 is being awarded to Allison V. Allison’s submission stood out due to the commercial success she has already achieved with her technology skills. As part of her application, Allison highlighted several websites that she has built for various businesses that are now online and helping these business owners achieve their entrepreneurial goals. Allison will attend Rollins College in the Fall.

The Crooms AoIT Alumni Association Community Scholarship worth $750 is being awarded to Rachel P.
