Croomie Places in SCCPTA 2013 Reflections Awards, Advances to State Level
Crooms AoIT junior Bradley M. has been named as the county winner in Visual Arts, Special Artists division for the Seminole County Council PTA 2012-2013 Reflection Awards. As a county winner, Bradley will advance to state competition to be judged by the Florida PTA.
PTA Reflections is a national PTA program that encourages students to explore the arts and express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Since it was founded in 1969 by Mary Lou Anderson, millions of students have benefited from this program. This year's theme is The Magic of the Moment.
SCCPTA chose 62 county winners which are now advanced to the state level of judging by Florida PTA. In addition, 118 honorable mention winners were chosen for a total of 180 winners. This year, 417 students from 38 PTA/PTSAs participated in the program in Seminole County. The creativity and quality of the entries this year was impressive and the judging process was quite challenging.
All 180 winners will receive an invitation to attend the SCCPTA Reflections Awards Celebration in April and each will receive a ribbon and a certificate. Congratulations to Bradley and all the students that participated.
