Crooms Baseball Returns This Friday After 50+ Year Hiatus

The Crooms baseball team will make its debut after a 50+ year hiatus this upcoming Friday at Historic Sanford Memorial Stadium at 4:00PM. The boys varsity baseball team will face off against Lake Mary Prep this Friday - February 23 - at 4:00PM; admission costs $3.00 for students and $5.00 for general public. Concession stands will be available.

The Panthers last fielded a baseball team over 50 years ago. This inaugural game for the Crooms AoIT baseball team will be played inside a stadium that is built on the grounds of Sanford Field. This storied field hosted baseball legends like Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Tim Raines, and David Eckstein; it also served as the spring training facility for the NY Giants. Be sure you come out and cheer on our Crooms AoIT Panthers to victory; who knows, you might even see the making of future baseball legends playing on these hallowed grounds!

Sanford Memorial Stadium is located at 1201 Mellonville Ave, Sanford, FL 32771

The baseball team is also in need of financial support. If you are able to support the team financial please feel free to donate through the Alumni Association or the school. For more information please e-mail scholarship@croomsalumni.com .
